At Saxon Combat Academy, martial arts is more than just training. It's a journey of learning, growth, discipline and personal development.
Based in Croydon, in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, our academy is dedicated to providing quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing instruction in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Whether you're stepping onto the mats for the first time, returning to martial arts or looking for a place for your child to develop their skills and confidence, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, improve and enjoy their training.
Saxon Combat Academy has been built on a passion for martial arts and a belief in the value of continual learning.
Over the years, that journey has been shaped by training, teaching, challenges, friendships and the people who have shared their knowledge along the way.
Those experiences have helped form the philosophy behind Saxon Combat Academy today: respect the fundamentals, stay open to learning, train with purpose and never stop improving.
An important part of this journey has been the guidance and mentorship of renowned Australian martial artist Richard Norton.
Richard's knowledge, experience and approach to martial arts have had a lasting influence on my development, both as a martial artist and as an instructor.
His mentorship reinforced the importance of strong fundamentals, attention to detail, dedication and a willingness to keep learning, no matter how much experience you have.
These are values we continue to carry into our own teaching and the culture we aim to build at Saxon Combat Academy.
While the academy has its own identity and direction, We will always value the influence Richard has had on our martial arts journeys.
